Did you know that by their Junior year in high school, on average, students have only been exposed to 7 professional careers?
As you can imagine, these are the typical careers, nursing, teaching, doctors, etc. We are in the midst of one of largest explosions of technology in history, it is moving quickly, it is also changing the world of work significantly.
Did you know that 65% of today’s grade school children will end up in careers that DO NOT exist today?
I believe, now, more than any other time in history it is crucial for us to help teens understand who they are and how it connects with the world. Once we’ve taken them through a process of discovery and learning their own unique talents and gifts, then we can help them make sense of opportunities that are available to them now, as well as in the future.
I dream of thousands of young people that don’t see the future as stressful, but so very exciting, they will be one the ones responsible for creating the future.
